Hope in times of uncertainty or what may feel like ruin.
The world feels so broken, lost and isolated right now during this pandemic and pandemonium but I have hope that God is doing new and amazing things in this season. Making all things new. Starting new beginnings. Making a way in what may feel like a wasteland. A season to chase your dreams God has planted deep within your heart. Where do you find hope in this season? Are you ready to start a new season? Will you pursue God’s calling on your life?
A season to chase your dreams God has planted deep within your heart.
We have this crazy succulent plant that we were going to throw out months ago because it was growing in every direction and looked like there was no hope left for its survival, but we never got around to actually throwing it out. Little did we know, it would start growing new buds and wouldn’t be awkwardly shaped in a few short months. Old leaves have fallen off the stem and now new life is growing. There are now nine little buds that will one day be their own succulent plant only because the leaves have fallen off and taken root in the soil. It gave me hope that even though it feels like the “leaves” won’t stop falling in our lives, my friend, new life and growth are coming. The pruning needs to happen before new fruit grows in our lives and when the pruning happens, it might feel painful or even a little awkward like the shape of our plant.
What are the leaves in your life that need to be pruned before God brings you into a new season or a beautiful new story? I have to let my worry leaves fall off of my stem in order to bring a new life of peace within me during these challenging times. I had to let my insecurity of writing die before starting this blog because I knew it was God calling me to do so. I have to look beyond what the mirror and my mind are telling me about my identity and look to God’s truth about who I am.
It’s a decision we have to make to let the old leaves go and prepare for new growth! Trust in Him! Not what’s going on in the world around us.
What pruning or new growth are you going through? Let me know on Instagram!
Sending my love,
Gayle
