Glory.

Your glory or His?

I was tested in how much I valued my appearance when I had eczema on my eyelids. It was so bad that the face recognition on my iPhone didn’t work. Yes, you did read that correctly… My eyes looked like I was allergic to bees and had been stung in the face. I cried that February morning while looking in the mirror. I was so embarrassed. I reluctantly agreed to see a dermatologist after dealing with it for days. My eyes were so swollen, I didn’t want my own husband to look at me, let alone strangers or friends. But while driving to that dermatologist appointment, God very clearly spoke to me: “You’re saying ‘don’t look at me’ now. If I ever give you a ministry or put you in a position to make a large impact for my kingdom, remember this: always say, don’t look at me, look at HIM.” I will never forget this lesson as I need to be reminded to give Him the glory.

Do you often feel like you deserve the glory for what you’ve accomplished – promotion at work, “smart” children, a healthy bank account, etc. or are you giving God the glory for what He’s done through you? The bible says whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God. Do you change that diaper, wash those dishes, mop the floor all for the glory of God?

In all of God’s blessings remember to give Him the glory.

I often pray,

Lord, my story, Your glory!

Will you pray the same?

Sending my love,

Gayle
